  • Low-tension wounds

  • Reduces visible scarring


Principle

  • Sutures are placed in the dermal layer

  • Continuous stitch pattern

Procedure Steps

  1. Insert needle at one end of wound

  2. Pass needle horizontally within dermis

  3. Take small bites along wound edge

  4. Continue in a running (continuous) manner

  5. Exit at the other end

  6. Tie knot or secure with adhesive
